Healthy Recipes: Fuel For The Day

Bowl of oatmeal with apple chunks and cinnamon on a textured cloth.

🥣 Apple Pie Oatmeal Recipe Serves: 1–2

Ingredients

½ cup rolled oats

1 cup water (or unsweetened almond milk or oat milk if preferred)

½ to 1 apple, peeled or unpeeled and diced (for soft "apple pie" texture)

1–2 teaspoons brown sugar (adjust to taste)

¼ teaspoon cinnamon (or more if you like extra spice)

Optional: splash of milk or almond milk at the end for creaminess

Directions

Bring water (or milk) to a gentle boil in a small pot.

Add oats and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook and stir for about 3–5 minutes until oats begin to soften.

Add diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Continue cooking another 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until apples are soft and the oatmeal is thick and creamy.

Remove from heat. Add a small splash of milk if desired and enjoy warm.

This delicious Apple Pie Oatmeal Recipe is not only a treat for your taste buds but also fits perfectly into healthy breakfast ideas and nutritious meal options.

Tip: If you like very soft apples like apple pie filling, you can add the apples to the pot first with a little water and cook them for 1–2 minutes before adding the oats.
